Walking into The Foxtrot feels a bit like dropping by someone's lounge room — were that someone a bit obsessed with all things Gothic (and whiskey). Think dim lighting, cosy couches and an AstroTurf courtyard. DJs add to the atmosphere on Friday and Saturday nights, too. The drinks list specialises in refreshing seasonal concoctions, with autumn's list including the Disco Punch — with pisco, pineapple syrup and candied pineapple — and the Bison Grass Cooler with vodka, apple and lemongrass. Come Tuesday and Wednesday for $10 pizzas.
Oh yes, this bad boy is as cozy and insular as they come, so you’ll be snug as a bug ordering up cocktails which naturally have all been smoked, blowtorched or blazed. You’ll want to keep an eye on Falcon Street to find The Foxtrot but when you do, you’re in for a major treat. Not only are the bartenders cooking up some delicious concoctions, but you get to sip them in the type of chairs that say “I’m going to be here for a while” right next to a crackling furnace.
THE FOXTROT, CROWS NEST
Walking into The Foxtrot feels a bit like dropping by someone's lounge room — were that someone a bit obsessed with all things Gothic. Think dim lighting, cosy couches, a fireplace, a mural of mysterious characters and an Astro-turfed courtyard. DJs add to the atmosphere on Friday and Saturday nights, plus there's live music every second Thursday. The drinks list specialises in refreshingly simple concoctions, such as house-made spiced rum with fresh pear juice, and the menu follows suit, offering sliders, burgers, pizzas and so on. Come Wednesday for three for $10 tacos.
This funky American-style bar and diner is one of Crows Nest’s late-night heroes, serving up a mix of great live tunes, gutsy cocktails, and tasty, US-inspired snacks. Cosy up by the crackling open fire as you feast on a few of the menu’s addictive sliders and tacos, teamed with some memorable libations and live tunes.

The Foxtrot Inn
It’s easy to walk on past the unobtrusive Falcon Street entry to the Foxtrot Inn. Come in from the cold to an intimate den complete with well-stoked fire, armchairs you can really sink into, low lighting and clever cocktails. A wintery evening, though, requires a glass of full-bodied red for instant internal heating.
